As most of you are aware by now, Kristine passed away from an apparent heart attack in her sleep sometime over the weekend of June 2/3, 2007. I am George, Kayla and Walter's father, and have filled the role of step father in Granger's life. My intention is to continue posting pictures of the kids and the events in their life as they grow. Well, once I get all this bloggity photog stuff figured out, that is. Kristine was an avid shutterbug and I am not sure I will live up to her legacy in that respect, but I will try my best to keep friends and family informed of events large and small in their life.
Kayla got her ears pierced this past weekend and has pink flower earrings that she must keep in for the next six weeks. She has been very strictly following the cleaning regimen specified by the woman who did the piercing.
Walter finished his Little League season on Saturday and as a tribute to Kristine, the final game of the season was her t-ball team on the big field with the scoreboard and announcer who called out their names and numbers as they took their stance at the plate. The league president decided to make that practice a tradition going forward and from now on Cupertino American Little League will always end their season with the little kids on the big field. Kris would have liked that.
